SPIRITUAL COUNSELLING & COMPANIONSHIP

Spiritual Counselling is a one-to-one process to help you explore your personal spiritual path.   At WISBOROUGH Chrissie McGinn & Richard Hewitt provide a safe space to help you explore the part spirituality plays in your life, so that you can fully engage with your life.  Spiritual counselling is sometimes called spiritual direction, although we see the process more as being a spiritual companion along the way.  Our aim is to raise consciousness of who you truly are and to help you honour this with mindfulness, understanding and compassion.  We help you release your fears, and believe in your true Self, so that you find the way that is right for you. 

Whether you have a traditional faith or none, spiritual counselling can help you understand that life is a spiritual process, and help you live your life in a way that reflects this for you.  Spiritual counselling can help you develop your spiritual practice and deepen your relationship with the Divine / God / Goddess / the Source/ Buddha/  Allah / the Great Mystery.

WEDDINGS

Celebrate your wedding with a ceremony created especially for you.

Although few couples realise that they can create their own ceremony, it is possible to mark this important occasion in a way that is right for you. You can have a service that reflects your personal values and beliefs. A wedding is a time when a couple make a commitment to each other before family and friends so that their intent is witnessed and celebrated.  Chrissie & Richard will work with you to develop your own marriage vows and help you to create your own unique wedding service to lay the foundation for your future happiness together.

Chrissie originally trained as a relationships counsellor, and for many years we have run Wisborough workshops to help people create successful relationships. As Interfaith Ministers we believe in accepting and honouring the different spiritual paths people choose to follow. Whether you have a faith or no traditional religious beliefs your ceremony will be an expression of your beliefs and values.

Baby Blessings

Baby blessings are an opportunity to bless and name a child, to celebrate her birth, and to welcome her into the circle of her family and their friends.  It is also an opportunity to honour the child’s parents, grandparents and guides (Godparents).  People can make a commitment to lovingly support the child through the different stages of his life.

FUNERALS

Chrissie McGinn & Richard Hewitt will work with you to create a funeral service that is right for you.  A funeral service helps us to mourn our grief, to honour and give thanks for the life of the deceased, and say our good-byes.  It marks the sacred transition from this life.  It needs to be meaningful to everyone and to reflect the beliefs and values of the family and the deceased. If you have a traditional faith you will follow its practice, but many people today do not totally accept traditional beliefs.
